Learning Styles!!!

As a student, we should know our learning styles, the strengths and also the weaknesses of the learning styles and then to think of ways we can create a link between our style of learning and the expectation of each course and each instructor.
There are many learning styles, how about we start with simple one: called FIELD DEPENDENCE / INDEPENDENCE. Field dependent learners are tend to learn effectively when there are frequent interaction with other students. Whereas field independent learners are tend to be highly autonomous. If we feel lonely and alienated in our class because there is only a one-way of communication between we and our teacher, we are in field dependent learner. Vice-versa, we may become annoyed if our teacher spend times in creating ways to us interact with our classmate. Let say, we are the field-dependent learner, we are taking a large lecturer class and want to interact with other students or with lecturer (since we can learn more effective) we should arrange study sessions with them, have conversations before and after the class with our friends and take advantage of our lecturer offices hours.
Lets move to the other one of learning styles; which is the most widely used and the best known personalities inventories, MYERS-BRIGGS TYPE INDICATOR or MBTI.
The preference of MBTI =
Extraversion vs Introversion (talkative vs quiet)
Sensing vs Intuition (facts or ideas)
Thinking vs Feeling (logic vs value)
Judging vs Perceiving (organize or adaptability)

Every types have their own best and worst. However we are not allow that to be an excuse for doing less than we can!!!
Therefore we should try to overcome our worst so that we can learn more effectively. Notice that all the psychological types described by the MBTI are normal and healthy; there is no wrong or right- PEOPLE ARE SIMPLY UNIQUE AND DIFFERENT!
If there is mismatch between how we learn best and how we are being taught, it is important that we should take control over our learning process. We should employ our own unique preferences, talents, ability, in developing ways to learn and retain knowledge!
